This is Die Antwoord, a South African rap-rave group, in their video for their video Fatty Boom Boom.
That person in the yellow dress is Yo-Landi Vi$$er. She normally looks like this.
Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with that first picture?
SEE. SEE. STAN ALL OVER THE HIPSTER AFRIKAANERS IF YOU WANT TO, I KNEW THE SHIT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.
I never liked them.
“white Africans” indeed.
…reason #14884238954247 why I can’t entertain these guys.
Yes I see a black man in a inspired kkk outfit and a white girl in brown paint with cat eyes (a hint to the blackface). Die Antwoord is famous for being a provocative band and they want to bring out the discussion about the whole race issue in South-Africa or in the world. And in my opinion they succeed. They give a lot of thought of how to portray themselves and build up videoclips, almost like art.
Ninja told Spin: People are unconscious and you have to use your art as a shock machine to wake them up. Some people are too far gone. They’ll just keep asking, “Is it real? Is it real?” That’s dwanky. That’s a word we have in South Africa, “dwanky.” It’s like lame. “Is it real?” Dwanky. You have to be futuristic and carry on. You gotta be a good guide to help people get away from dull experience.
